I did this recent volunteer photo shoot for Flashes of Hope. Flashes of Hope is a national nonprofit organization that changes the way children with cancer see themselves through the gift of photography and raises money for pediatric cancer research. The portraits, help children feel better about their changing appearance by celebrating it. For families of terminally ill children, it’s especially important to have a portrait that preserves forever the beauty, grace and dignity of their child. Their website is http://www.flashesofhope.org/

I have photographed 1,000’s of kids in my day and these kids were like any other kids. It was refreshing to see them up toned and having fun at their summer camp. Kids aren’t nearly as serious as adults. Not a care in the world. My problems don’t seem so big.
